Interested in joining us?

We meet each month at the Royal British Legion Club in Middlegate, Penrith where we discuss the business of the club and decide what we are going to support. Meetings are lively and discussion is usually forthright but we hope to have the business completed by 9.30pm when we retire to the bar! Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings. Please contact the secretary if you would like to attend a meeting.

On the 1st Monday of each month we have committee meetings at the Conservative Club in Crown Square where the activity, social and welfare committees meet to formulate their ideas for the business meeting.
We set great store by fun and fellowship in this club. We work hard but we also play hard! We have a number of social events during the year where we meet and have fun. We have barbeques, brewery visits, cheese and wine evenings etc. and of course we have our Charter Anniversary evening.

Penrith Lions Club is part of District 105bn and this covers an area from the Mersey up to the Scottish border and across to the Pennines. We all meet at the District Convention in February/March each year where we meet Lions from other areas.
If you would like to know a bit more about our club or get to know our members please contact our Secretary. Come along to a few meetings. You join when you and the club feel you are ready. We will not press you to join. We have friends who just like to help us out before joining the club.

Being a Lion opens up a whole new world of friends. We all have a sense of involvement in our community and get a buzz from helping people less fortunate than ourselves. Above all we have fun being Lions.
